Project Longhurst: Becoming a HART Student Ambassador
Chris Broome – Chartered Financial Planner
We promised to bring you regular updates on our corporate charitable giving programme, ‘Project Longhurst’, which aims to support organisations involved in humanitarian, animal welfare, environmental and financial education causes.
This month, the spotlight is on our humanitarian partner, HART UK, and their Student Ambassador initiative.
Are you passionate about equality and justice? Are you creative and communicative? Why not become a HART student ambassador?
About the initiative
Open to all UK students in Sixth Form or University, this is a fantastic way to gain experience of international development and show your support for victims of forgotten conflicts.
Encourage your friends to think about human rights. Help them understand topics that aren’t in the news. Tell them stories of courageous people in conflict zones who bring sustainable change to their communities.
What’s involved
This is an exciting and active role for one year, with the aim to:
- Raise £500 for a project close to your heart
- Speak at two events, such as a school assembly, online seminar or presentation on campus
- Promote HART’s humanitarian campaigns on social media
How to apply
We want to know why you’re interested in the role and how you will work with us to champion the life-saving projects of HART’s local partners. There is no deadline and applications are accepted throughout the year. Email: office@hart-uk.org
