Project Longhurst: More Trees – UK tree planting projects unveiled

Chris Broome – Chartered Financial Planner

We promised to bring you regular updates on our corporate charitable giving programme, ‘Project Longhurst’, which aims to support organisations involved in humanitarian, animal welfare, environmental and financial education causes.

This month’s update comes from our Environmental partner, More Trees.

We share their update below, about two new tree planting projects in the UK.

You’ve asked and we’ve listened!

More Trees work with partners to support multiple tree planting initiatives worldwide and across the UK, and we’re proud to announce not one but TWO new tree planting projects in Kent and Liverpool.

Kent

Partnering with Time4Trees to plant trees just off the Dartford Crossing, one of the UK’s busiest roads. High pollution levels make this an ultra-high emission zone, highlighting the importance of the tree planting.

Liverpool

Also partnering with Arbor Day Foundation to fund the Mersey Forest Plan who work with local authorities and landowners to plant trees to meet the needs of the location, communities and long term tree and woodland health.
