Trekking in Peru
If you ask any traveller what their top choice for an inspiring travel experience and most will say that the trekking the Inca trail is right up there on their travel ‘bucket list’. The ancient city of Machu Picchu is set up high in the Andes Mountains in Peru and is an instagrammers dream.
It can take four days’ worth of hiking just to reach Machu Picchu, but when you get there, the views are 100% worth it.
Go wild in Zambia
Do you love wildlife? If you love being on the water, then canoeing the Zambezi River Is most definitely for you. Imagine stopping off from paddling down the river and relaxing by a watering hole where you can watch elephants in their natural habitat?
As well as elephants, you can expect to see hippos, zebras, fish eagles, crocodiles and maybe even the odd lion as you camp on the sandy banks of the Zambezi.
Run the Great Wall of China
If you love marathons, why not take it to the next level and run The Great Wall of China? This spectacular journey will take you through ancient Chinese history, stunning scenery and typical Chinese villages. It is one of the world’s most challenging marathons and the next one takes place on May 16th, 2020. Will you step up to the challenge?
Hang out with the polar bears in Canada
If you ever wanted to get up close and personal with a polar bear you can do so on the shores of Hudson Bay in the remote town of Churchill. It is one of the few places where polar bears can be observed in the wild in the form of a walking safari. For those that prefer to observe these beautiful creatures in comfort, you can also take to the skies in a helicopter to track the bears over the frozen bay.
Snorkel with sharks in the Galápagos Islands
Do you want to snorkel with sharks? If so, head to the island of Marchena in the Galápagos archipelago where you can do just that. If you love marine life, you simply must visit Punta Espejo on the southeast edge of the island, where you can find sea lions, sea turtles, eels hammerhead and Galápagos sharks and dolphins.
Crazy about Costa
Costa Rica is high on the list of most traveller’s travel bucket list and it makes for an ideal choice if you love rainforests and wildlife. Head over to the glorious Corcovado National Park Rainforest and not only will you be in awe by the stunning surroundings, but you will also get to see some incredible wildlife too. Think monkeys, sloths, snakes and more. Get that camera ready!
Find yourself in the Lost City
Within the lush greenery of the jungle of Colombia lies the Ciudad Perdida or the Lost City as it is most commonly known. Name aside, this ancient and celebrated site is one of Colombia’s most intriguing gems. Whilst it is becoming more popular for travellers to explore, it is definitely something new and different to try.
